Regional Economic Strategy
One NorthEast, the Regional Development Agency for North East England, is responsible for taking forward the review of the existing Regional Economic Strategy (RES) on behalf of the region.
The Regional Economic Strategy (RES) sets out how we are going to deliver greater and sustainable prosperity to all of the people of the North East over the period to 2016. It seeks to provide the underpinning economic conditions necessary to achieve the region's vision:
The North East will be a region where present and future generations have a high quality of life. It will be a vibrant, self reliant, ambitious and outward looking region featuring a dynamic economy, a healthy environment and a distinctive culture. Everyone will have the opportunity to realise their full potential.
